When searching for different CBD products, some of the common terms you might have frequently come across will be full spectrum CBD and CBD isolates. These are the basic forms of CBD that are commonly used for making other CBD products such as edibles, capsules, pills, etc. You should be aware of their differences for selecting the ideal product for you. Hence, we include some of the important characteristics of these two popular products for your knowledge. It will help you to choose the right one for you.

Full Spectrum CBD

A lot of people specifically choose full spectrum CBD products because of their added benefits. Full spectrum CBD oil is derived directly from the hemp plant and contains all the cannabinoids and other plant materials. All these compounds will produce an effect called “entourage effect”, where different compounds present in the hemp plant enhance the properties of each other for giving you added benefits. Hence, it is more effective and efficient than other CBD products.

However, one of the concerns existing regarding the full spectrum CBD is the presence of THC, which is the psychoactive component present in the cannabis plants. But when the oil is extracted from the hemp plant, which is a variety of cannabis plant, the percentage of THC present in it will be very low which is almost 0.3% or less. Hence, this product is considered to be safe, as low concentrations of THC will not produce intoxicating effects.

CBD Isolates

CBD isolates are the purest form of CBD as it contains 99% percent CBD and no other plant materials. All the other cannabinoids and plant materials will be eliminated from full spectrum CBD oil using a special process. Most of the uses of CBD isolates are similar to that of full spectrum CBD, however, there might be slight differences in their effectiveness.

CBD isolates come in the form of a white powder and they can be easily added to other CBD products. As it has high concentrations of CBD, it will have high potency. However, it might not be as effective as full spectrum CBD in some cases, as it cannot produce the entourage effect. Hence, people those who are used to full spectrum may not find isolates as much effective as the former one. You may choose to use full spectrum CBD or CBD isolate based on your convenience.

Both these products are capable of giving the different benefits CBD provides. Choosing either one of them can be based on your personal preferences and needs.
